Arising Out Of Employment / Course Of Employment Interviews
Getting It Straight From The Source
The view is always clearer from the outside looking in, so Elite’s investigators are trained to ask the right people the right questions. By conducting an unbiased and neutral interview with those involved in an incident, a better overall understanding of what really happened can be had.
We gather the facts and present the evidence to our clients in support of their case.
While each case is different, individuals needing to be interviewed often include:
- Employer representatives
- Claimant’s immediate supervisor
- Witnesses to:
- the accident
- the claimant’s activities and lifestyle
- the claimant’s previous or subsequent injuries and health history
- the general work environment
- The Claimant
- Other entities peripherally involved with the incident
To ensure the Client’s interests are being served properly, our Investigators determine whether it is appropriate to obtain a recorded statement while in the field. Employment and HIPAA compliant medical records releases can also be obtained from the Claimant at the time of the interview.
It is imperative to obtain all available reports and information while at the accident scene, which includes:
- Crime or traffic reports
- Court records
- State investigative reports
- In-house accident or incident reports
- Handwritten witness statements
- Medical records
- Employment records
- Scene photographs and measurements
- Rough sketches
- Identification of suspect product for subrogation
- Insurance policy information for possible subrogation
